The Jaguar Mark IV is a true classic, the four door sedan was built by Jaguar from 1945 to 1949. The car was a re-launch of the Pre-War model made by William Lyons' SS Cars Ltd. (Swallow Sidecar Company - SS for short)

At a time before the Second War the name Jaguar was the model name given to the complete range of cars built by William Lyons' SS Cars Ltd. The sedans were titled SS Jaguar 1.5 liter or 3.5 liter.
They also produced a two-seater sports car its title was the SS Jaguar 100 2.5 liter or 3.5 liter.
Interesting William Lyons' SS Cars Ltd. resumed production with a range of pre-war designs which acted as a stop-gap measure pending the arrival of an entirely new generation of Jaguars.
The Mark1v was born, the designs comprised of a 1.5 Liter, 2.5 and 3.5-Liter model, to be known as the Mark IV. An all-steel body was offered as a sedan or a drop-head coupe, all were fitted out with luxurious and well-appointed interiors that would become a Jaguar hallmark.
In 1938 originally featured a 1608 cc side valve engine was replaced by a 1776 cc overhead-valve unit.
